Matt Lindland vs. Ronaldo Jacare
Two-time jiu-jitsu world champion Ronaldo Jacare debuts tonight at Strikeforce, an event taking place in the city of San José, California. The black belt faces the experienced Matt Lindland, a fighter with experience in major events such as UFC and Affliction. The American shows confidence in victory and is not worried about the Brazilian's ground game.
“It certainly won’t be a grappling fight. I've taken down a lot of black belts in MMA, and I don't see this fight any differently,” said Lindland.
Another Brazilian in action on the show will be Alex Crispim who will face AJ Fonseca, in the preliminary fights.
In the main fight of the night, valid for the organization's lightweight belt, Josh Thompson will face Gilbert Melendez. Check out the full card:
