That's because the former middleweight champion Anderson Silva, recently caught in an anti-doping test due to the use of anabolic and anxiolytic steroids, went to social media and, without further explanation, released an enigmatic message, in which he left in the air the possibility that he was ending his professional career.

Anderson Silva now awaits its judgment by the Nevada Athletic Commission, which is scheduled for April 21st. On that date, it will be decided whether Spider will be suspended due to positive results in two anti-doping tests and whether, in addition, he will receive a cash fine and see his victory over Nick Diaz at UFC 183 be reversed into a No Contest (fight without result). Despite the confusion, Anderson can be seen on television as a coach on TUF Brasil 4, at least in the first episodes of the show, as it is known that he was excluded from the program and replaced by his friend Rodrigo Minotauro after the doping scandal became public.

On February 3rd, a few days after winning Nick Diaz at UFC 183, it was announced that Anderson Silva had tested positive for the anabolic steroids drostanolone and androsterone in a surprise anti-doping test carried out on January 9th. A second examination, carried out on the 19th of the same month, did not show any trace of illegal substances. In the post-fight examination, however, Anderson tested positive again for anabolic steroids and, in addition, also for two anxiolytics, Oxazepam and Temazepam, medicines generally used to combat insomnia and sleep disorders.
