Chad Mendes and Ricardo Lamas fight important for the direction of the UFC featherweight division this Saturday (4), in the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 63 in the city of Fairfax, Virginia (USA). And if there's anyone who knows the fighters' game well, it's the Brazilian José Aldo, champion of the category and who comes from victory over both of them.

Aldo beat Lamas in a comfortable decision from the judges at UFC 169, in February last year. In October, he had much more difficulties, but defeated Mendes for the second time, also on points. When giving his opinion on the fight, Aldo once again showed respect to his last opponent and placed his chips on the current top spot in the official featherweight rankings.
“First of all, it’s a big fight. I liked. Ricardo Lamas has been going through a good phase, but I see Chad still being number one in the category. I see a victory for Chad Mendes. I think he'll come back again in the future [to compete for the title], because I still don't see anyone who can beat him in the category”, analyzed the Brazilian, in an interview with the UFC's official website.
Mendes' last fight was against Aldo, which interrupted a streak of five consecutive victories. After losing to the champion, Lamas beat Hacran Diaz and Dennis Bermudez.
