This Tuesday (31), the UFC 189 Global Promotion Tour ends in Dublin (Ireland), with the featherweight belt dispute between José Aldo e Conor McGregor. The almost two weeks of travel and events were, by far, the largest promotional apparatus ever mobilized in the organization's history, for an event that promises to shake up the world of MMA. However, this was not the first time that Ultimate went around the world and the SUPER FIGHTS recalls other major tours of the event.

if today José Aldo x Conor McGregor is a fight with enormous commercial appeal and in which the UFC is betting its chips, this post was in the past of the historic rematch between Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman, held just over six months after the surprising defeat of the former Brazilian champion. To this end, the organization scheduled events in Brazil, the United States and Canada in order to promote the duel held at UFC 168, won again by Weidman, this time after the traumatic fracture suffered by Anderson in the second round.

Another name considered one of the greatest fighters of all time, Georges St Pierre He has also been headlining a promotional tour, this time for Ultimate's 20th anniversary. Exactly 20 days before UFC 167, the organization announced visits to the most important cities in North America leading up to the event with the presence of fighters and sports stars. Among the places visited were: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Montreal, St. Louis, Baltimore, Phoenix and Las Vegas. The schedule also included a strategic stop in Goiânia (GO) for UFC Fight Night: Belfort x Henderson.

But it wasn't just athletes, ring girls and personalities who took part in the tours carried out by Ultimate to date. In 2011, the organization traveled around the world taking one of its trademarks: the octagon where the fights take place. The event's traditional ring passed through several cities, such as: Cleveland, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Toronto and Denver. In addition to the fighting stage, fans were also able to check out several items from the organization's private collection, all to the sound of a show by resident DJ AL3.
