Last week, the coach of José Aldo, Dedé Pederneiras, warned Dana White that things could get heated if Conor McGregor decided to touch the champion during the world tour to promote UFC 189. While on tour in Toronto (Canada), McGregor ignored the warning and grabbed Aldo's neck before an interview with local TV, driving the Brazilian crazy.

The moment was caught by UFC cameras and published by the organization itself in the “Embedded” video series, which shows behind the scenes of the trip to promote the featherweight belt fight. When touched by the Irishman, Aldo became visibly angry and vented to his muay thai coach, Alex Chadud, after the end of his participation in the TV show. “I'm going to punch this son of a bitch in the face. He grabbed my neck, full of force, this son of a bitch”, shouted the Manauara man.

Then, the translator who accompanied Aldo during his visit to Canada advised the Brazilian to fight back and anticipated the provocation that was about to come from McGregor. “What he (McGregor) has to say now at the press conference is: 'Ah, he said I wasn't supposed to touch him, but I did and he didn't do anything'. That's what he's going to say now. You may not like it, but do the same thing! When he's sitting down, get there and... give him a squeeze. Just so he can feel it”, he said, to Aldo’s consent.

Aldo did not fight back, but, faced with new provocations from McGregor during the confrontation in a shopping mall, he promised to radically change his stance at the last stop of the world tour: Ireland, the challenger's home. “I already said where he will grow up. F*** it, then I’m going to let the dogs out too, I’m going to talk a lot of shit, one after the other… in Ireland”, said the champion.
