Holyfield suspects that the conspiracy does not involve the fighters, but rather the scoring of points by the judges. For him, if the fight reaches a decision, the victory will be given to Pacquiao, precisely with the intention of breaking Mayweather's unbeaten record.

“Mayweather isn’t going to win, because from everything I’ve seen in boxing, nobody wants anyone to retire undefeated. They want to keep profits in the sport by doing things like this: someone beats the guy, then someone beats the guy who beat the guy, then someone beats the guy who beat the guy who beat the guy... So I say what will happens: it will be a tight fight. Yes, it will be close, and Pacquiao will take the decision. Afterwards, it will be a matter of seeing if Mayweather will fight again or if he will think he has already made enough money to stop”, said the American, in an interview with the website “Sports On Earth”.

The fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather promises to generate unprecedented figures even for the millionaire world of boxing. It is estimated that the purses paid to fighters are, together, around US$250 million; Furthermore, the winner will take home an emerald belt, worth US$1 million.
