Aldo's head coach and manager, Dedé Pederneiras, warned UFC president, Dana White, that if McGregor goes overboard with his provocations, a nasty fight could happen. Pederneiras talks about the conversation with White in the sixth episode of the series “Embedded”, produced by Ultimate and which shows behind the scenes of the press conference tour.
“I sent a message to Dana White saying the following: if he came and touched you, then he would see what would happen. Because, my brother, after you started, he, Lorenzo [Fertitta, UFC partner], could come in and by the time you left, no one would hold you back anymore”, Pederneiras told Aldo, in a telephone conversation.
