If the arrival of Chris Cyborg to the UFC and a possible superfight against Ronda Rousey They already seemed almost unrealizable in the past, today the Brazilian's landing in the octagon really seems to be a matter of time. This Thursday (26), during the UFC 189 world tour in New York (USA), president Dana White confirmed the organization's agreement with the fighter, published in the specialized press, and also gave more details about how it will be Cyborg's transition process until he finally debuted in the octagon.

“She is signed to the UFC. She will try to drop to 135 pounds (61,2 kg, bantamweight category) and fight at Invicta FC (an event where she is currently the featherweight champion). If she succeeds and wins, she will fight here (at UFC)”, said the director.

If in the past I criticized Chris Cyborg due to extra-octagon problems and issues such as the Brazilian's positive test for banned substances when she was still playing for Strikeforce, recently Dana White changed her speech and has placed Cyborg's difficulty in making weight as the only obstacle that still separates her from Ultimate.

For many fans and analysts, Cyborg is the main name in women's MMA capable of standing up to the champion Ronda Rousey. At 29 years old, the Brazilian has a professional record of 13 wins, one loss and one fight without result, with titles in Strikeforce and Invicta FC. Already Ronda Rousey, 28 years old, has a record of 11 wins in 11 fights. Ronda has an appointment scheduled for August 1st, when she faces, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), the Brazilian Beth Pitbull in the main fight of UFC 190.
