This Monday (23), Vitor belfort received with relief the news that he had finally received his license to fight in Las Vegas (USA) and was confirmed in the fight for the middleweight belt at UFC 187. The fight was then rescheduled for December, but was canceled again because of Weidman's fracture. The third unsuccessful attempt to hold the match took place last February and again the postponement was due to an injury to the champion, who this time injured his rib.
Now, finally, Belfort and Weidman will face each other on May 23rd, in Las Vegas (USA), in the co-main fight of UFC 187, an event that precedes the traditional Easter holiday. Memorial Day (North American holiday dedicated to war veterans). The card of the night features a duel for the light heavyweight belt between Jon Jones e Anthony Johnson as the main fight.
