The Brazilian Thales leites made peace with victory this Saturday. Coming off two consecutive losses in the UFC, the black belt faced former ADCC champion, Dean lister and emerged victorious in the unanimous decision of the judges at MFC-23, an event that took place in Edmonton, Canada
Despite a fight with little movement, the Brazilian managed to impose his game from the beginning and dominated the entire fight, showing greater control on the ground and more confidence in the stand-up game. At the end of the fight, Thales said:
“I had a feeling the ground game would be very close. Therefore, I worked a lot on my striking for this fight and I really wanted to be more aggressive”, analyzed Thales.
“I really needed this victory”, said the black belt.
Another former Ultimate fighter on the card was Canadian Jason MacDonald who defeated Solomon Hutcherson in a split decision from the judges.
