The fight for the lightweight belt is confirmed. This Friday (13), in Dallas (USA), Rafael dos Anjos e Anthony Pettis they beat the weight limit for the category and confirmed the main fight for UFC 185, which will take place on Saturday.
The Brazilian, who seeks to be the first in the country to win the division title, stepped on the scale first and reached 70,3 kg. Shortly afterwards, the champion, applauded by the audience, made the same weight, thus guaranteeing the fight for the belt.

After getting off the scale, the two looked tense, practically putting their faces together. In an interview, the Brazilian expressed confidence in winning the title. “I have no doubt that God does everything at the right time. He gave me the opportunity and I will take it,” he said.
Pettis was more emphatic and promised victory to his fans. “He’s another guy I have to beat. I'm going to give you a show. This guy is going to be knocked out, he has no chance against me”, he guaranteed.
Another fight that will have a belt at stake will be the co-main fight of the attraction. Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the straw champion, Carla esparza, also reached the category limit without any problems. After the faceoff, Jedrzejczyk presented the champion with a cookies: “It’s a sign of respect for her, who is the champion. O cookie It’s clean, drug-free, so enjoy it,” he joked, referencing Esparza’s nickname, “Cookie Monster.”
Other highlights of the weigh-in were the former welterweight champion John hendricks, who was in good shape and made weight without the difficulty he had in the past. Another representative from Brazil on the night, Larissa pacheco confirmed his fight against Germaine de Radamie. The only one to fail at the weigh-in was Daron Cruickshank, who was over the lightweight division limit.
UFC 185 will take place this Saturday, starting at 21pm Brasília time. The main card of the attraction will begin at midnight on Sunday.
