Biggest thorn in the side of Anderson Silva, with two victories over the Brazilian in less than six months, the middleweight champion Chris Weidman also gave his opinion on the Spider doping case. “His legacy is in check at this point. There’s no going back on this,” said Weidman, in an interview with the “FightHub” channel. “What bothers me most about this situation in Anderson Silva and other guys getting caught is because of the young guys coming up. Now they will find that they need to start taking steroids. Now they're going to speculate whether Anderson has had this his entire career. They will imagine that they were doing this and that he won, who knows, let's say, 50 million. 'If he did this and was able to take care of himself and his family for the rest of his life, maybe it's worth it,' they might think. My message to them is that I am a champion and have never taken any performance enhancing drugs. I would never do that,” he added.

I'm not the kind of guy to kick people when they're down, so I'm not going to tarnish his name any more than it's already being tarnished. I will say it is a disappointment. I always thought that champions, if you look at them, muscularly, they are not these pumped up guys”, he analyzed.
