The news was released by the “Front Row Brian” profile on Twitter, but it was quickly endorsed by other professionals linked to the event and even caught the attention of several fighters, such as Brad Tavares, Isaac Vallie-Flagg and Sarah Kaufman, who sought confirmation of the rumors.

Last Friday (27), Burt Watson normally participated in the official weigh-in for UFC 184, an event in which he is responsible for organizing and taking the athletes to the scales. On Saturday (28), however, Burt was not seen during fight night at the Staples Center and his absence was not justified.

In the UFC since May 2001, Burt Watson is one of the organization's most notable characters and one of the most beloved figures in the business. Furthermore, the production manager is considered one of the most important pieces for the functioning of Ultimate's grand structure at each event, controlling everything linked to the athletes, from their luggage to weight control.

Before arriving at the UFC, Burt had been the manager for more than 15 years of legendary boxer Joe Frazier, who recently passed away and who was the first fighter to beat Muhammad Ali, in 1971.
