Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was involved in yet another controversy this Wednesday. The former boxer was detained in Los Angeles after being involved in an incident with a photographer at the city's airport. According to information from the international press, Tyson allegedly punched the professional, who accused him of the attack.
The photographer stated that Tyson only punched him once and when he was hit he fell to the ground. The professional suffered a cut on his forehead.
Tyson's spokeswoman, Tammy Brook, stated that the former boxer was traveling with his wife and ten-month-old daughter when he was attacked by a photographer who allegedly approached the former athlete in an excessively aggressive manner. According to her, Tyson acted in self-defense to protect his daughter.
After police arrived, Tyson cooperated with officers while waiting to be released into an airport holding area. The photographer was under observation at a local hospital and would be called to give a statement after being discharged.
