The duel between Demain Maia and Ryan LaFlare has just been promoted to the main fight of UFC Fight Night 62, which takes place on March 21, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

The information was released by the website “MMA Fighting”. Last Monday (02), Raphael Assunção announced that he would not be able to face Urijah faber and, since then, the Ultimate organization has been working to find a new opponent for Faber or a new main fight for the event. However, without success, the alternative found was to promote the duel between Demian and LaFlare.
At 37, Demian Maia has a professional record of 19 wins and six losses. Former middleweight title challenger, Demian Maia He moved down to welterweight in 2012 and currently occupies seventh place in the category's official rankings. Demian is coming off a victory over the Russian Alexander Yakovlev.
Ryan LaFlare, 31 years old, has a professional record of eleven wins in eleven fights. LaFlare debuted in Ultimate in 2013 and since then has won four victories, including a victory by unanimous decision of the judges over the Argentine. Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Goiânia.
