Summoned to face Jon fitch at UFC-107, the Brazilian Thiago Pitbull Alves He had to withdraw from the fight due to a knee injury. The ATT athlete, in an interview with the American website MMA Mania, explained that he had been suffering from injury problems since his fight against the Canadian Georges St Pierre.
“I had a knee injury before my fight with GSP, now six weeks before my fight with Fitch I injured it again. My doctor advised me not to fight and, although I still wanted to, my manager said it wouldn't be a good idea to face Fitch if I wasn't 100%”, said Pitbull, informing that he is already thinking about returning at the beginning of next year.
“I’m going to take this time off to heal and get better, hopefully I’ll be back on January 31st. When I return, I will be better than ever.”
