A suitable stage for the construction of great stories, the cages of MMA have already been the backdrop for several films and documentaries – such as the acclaimed “Like Water”, by Anderson Silva. In 2015, it will be the UFC's interim heavyweight champion's turn to have his career portrayed on the big screen in a documentary.

Titled “Heavyweight” and with no official release date yet, director Rob Watt’s feature film follows Werdum’s preparation for UFC 180, in November last year. At the event, held in Mexico, “Vai Cavalo”, as he is known, would face Cain Velazquez for the title, but ended up facing Mark Hunt in a fight valid for the interim belt after an injury to the American.
