The Finnish naturalized Iraqi mawan amirkhani had what could be called a “dream debut” in the UFC. Last Saturday (24), in Sweden, he beat the British Andy Ogle by knockout in less than ten seconds and also took home one of the “Performance of the Night” bonuses, worth US$ 50 thousand (R$ 130 thousand ). But the achievements had an even more special flavor for Amirkhani, who already has in mind what the first investment will be for the money received.

“I never had a lot of money. I live in the same house as my mother and sister, but we only have two bedrooms. My mother gave us the bedrooms, and she sleeps on a tatami mat in the living room. This isn't cool, but what can I do? She gave up having a bed for us. Now I'm going to move to Stockholm, I'm going to leave the room for her, and I'm going to buy a bed, I think a 10 thousand dollar one, a bed that flies”, said the fighter, in a relaxed tone, at the press conference after the UFC on FOX 14.

Maintaining a good mood, the Finn also spoke about how minutes after his feat in the octagon, harassment from fans, especially female fans, had already increased considerably. "I don't know. I had like a thousand friend requests on social media and 90% were from girls and they all sent messages like: 'I love the way you smile and the way you eat your apple”, commented the fighter, who released a video in your Facebook in which he appears eating a fruit after the fight. “I had like 900 thousand views on this video. That’s a lot for a guy eating an apple,” she joked.

At 26, mawan amirkhani has a professional record of eleven wins and just two defeats. Surprisingly, the impressive knockout over Andy Ogle was the first of “Mr. Finland”, as it is known. Until then, Amirkhani had won eight fights by submission and another two by decision.
