Donald Cerrone and Benson Henderson have already faced each other twice, both times in the now defunct WEC event. In the first of them, in October 2009, Henderson won the judges' decision. A few months later, in April 2010, the winner was repeated, this time with a guillotine submission in the first round. The two athletes will face each other again next Sunday (18), and Cerrone's striking coach, Mike Winkeljohn, is confident that, this time, the result will be different.

Winkeljohn, also responsible for sharpening the standing part of names like Jon Jones, Carlos Condit, Andrei Arlovski e Cub swanson, considers that “Caubói” has made great progress in its game compared to what was seen five years ago, correcting some gaps that it previously had.
“We're going to work so he doesn't get hit by those big low kicks that Benson has. Understanding that Benson will try to take him down, we will try to get him [Cerrone] to get up and do what he wants. The Cowboy tries to pressure everyone, and I hope they don't have anything to say in response to that. When he imposes his game and presses, he is a tremendous fighter. And if they put him down, Donald has one of the best hips in our gym. It’s incredible how much his wrestling has improved”, said the coach, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast. “I’m excited that he took this fight. I think he's going to get Ben this time. I have no doubt about that.”
The fight between Cerrone and Henderson will be the co-main attraction of UFC Fight Night 59, which will be held in the city of Boston (USA). In the most important fight of the night, Conor McGregor faces Dennis Siver with an eye on fighting for the featherweight belt.
At UFC 182 on January 3, Cerrone defeated Myles Jury. Remember what the event was like:
