Famous for videos on YouTube where he fought with rivals on the street and with a quick stint in the UFC, Kimbo Slice is back in MMA. Slice, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, gained internet fame at the end of the last decade through videos of his street fights. His professional MMA debut was at the now-defunct EliteXC event, where he defeated names like Tank Abbott and James Thompson. At the same event, however, he lost his unbeaten record when he was quickly knocked out by former UFC fighter Seth Petruzelli.

Despite the setback, Kimbo was invited to participate in TUF 10, an edition entirely dedicated to heavyweights. He was eliminated in his first fight, losing to the eventual champion of the season, Roy Nelson. Still, Slice earned a chance to fight in the UFC, beating Houston Alexander and then losing to Matt Mitrione.

The fight against Mitrione, in May 2010, was his last appearance in professional MMA until then, as he was later fired from the UFC and began dedicating himself to professional boxing. In the noble art, he had seven fights, winning all of them, six of them by knockout.
