This Friday (16), early Saturday morning in Brazil, Patrick Pitbull will face Daniel Straus again almost four years after the first meeting between the two. The Brazilian, who this time will defend the Bellator featherweight belt, recognizes that his opponent has improved since then, but highlights that he himself has also improved his game for the rematch.

Pitbull and Straus will be in the main fight of Bellator 132, which will be held in the city of Temecula, in the US state of California. It will be the first title defense for the Brazilian, who won the belt by defeating Pat Curran in September last year.

“I've been watching Straus' fights since long before we fought for the first time. It is constantly evolving. He had great fights against [Nazareno] Malegarie and Pat Curran, he quickly knocked out Justin Wilcox in his last fight, so this proves that he is more complete now. It will be a great fight”, said Pitbull, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

However, the Brazilian added: “I have also evolved in all areas since our fight. I have judo takedowns, punches, kicks, knees. When the fight goes to the ground, it doesn't take long for me to finish or get back on my feet. Straus plays that typical American game, that boring strategy with wrestling, taking the fight to the ground and holding you there, but that won't work against me,” he said. “If he goes to the ground with me and makes a mistake, I will submit him. But I believe he will want to fight me standing up, and I will knock him out.”

The main fights of Bellator 132 will be broadcast live in Brazil starting at midnight this Saturday during summer time, on the subscription channel “FOX Sports”.
