Junior Gypsy He even denied it, but the version of his friends, coaches and training colleagues prevailed. After the Brazilian's victory over Stipe Miocic, in December last year, it was announced that he had been suffering from a problem with his right knee. However, the athlete himself denied the story at the press conference after the event. This Thursday (15), however, Cigano used social media to announce that he underwent surgery there and that he also took the opportunity to have his nose operated on.

"Good morning guys. I just got out of knee and nose surgery that I had to do and, thank God, everything went well.
There are people who often say 'thank you very much' doesn't seem to be enough to show their gratitude for the help they provide, but it is still the way we can show it to them. So a special thank you to Dr. Moisés Cohen and his entire team, who once again are taking care of me, and to Dr. Sérgio Miranda and his team who performed my nose surgery, and also his daughter Maria Vitória”, he wrote the athlete on his official profile on Instagram, along with two photos in which he appears alongside the medical team at the hospital.
According to the North American website “MMA Fighting”, the knee injury of Junior Gypsy is in the collateral ligament, while the nose surgery was to correct a deviated septum. At 30 years old, Junior Gypsy has a professional record of 17 wins and three losses. There is still no estimated timeframe for the former heavyweight champion's return to the Octagon or even to training.
