The event, held on January 3rd, in Las Vegas (USA), crowned the dominance of Jon Jones among light heavyweights. In a frenetic fight, the champion made his eighth title defense by defeating the previously undefeated Daniel Cormier in the judges' decision.
Another one that came out on top of the attraction was Donald Cerrone, who continued his winning streak by also breaking the unbeaten record of his opponent, Myles Jury. The only Brazilian who participated in the event didn't have much reason to celebrate. Rodrigo Damm could do little in the face of Evan dunham and was defeated by the judges' decision.
