The main fight of UFC Fight Night 59, an event that will be held this Sunday (18), between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver, will not only affect fighters in the UFC featherweight division. The champion of the lower division, the roosters, TJ Dillashaw, you will also keep an eye on the attraction, waiting for an opening to have the fight you so desire against José Aldo.

The UFC has already confirmed that McGregor will challenge the Brazilian if he beats Siver on Sunday. So, as he hopes to have the chance to fight for the featherweight title, Dillashaw stated that he will “dry” the Irishman, hoping that a surprising result marks the second UFC event in 2015.
“I know they want to give McGregor to him [Aldo], so I'm going to cross my fingers that McGregor loses to Siver. I don't see how that will happen, but if it does, I hope I can challenge Aldo. It would be really cool to be the first to hold two belts at the same time. Now would be the time for that, because I have no one to fight”, declared Dillashaw, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.
Dillashaw was expected to make his next title defense against Dominick Cruz, but the former champion suffered an injury and will be out of action for a few months. Raphael Assunção, theoretically next in line, was also injured. With this, Dillashaw is resigned to the possibility of facing again Renan Barao, whom he defeated in May last year. “I really wanted to face Cruz. I feel like it was something that the fans and I wanted, and it would be something to make my title even more prominent, but maybe I will have to train for the third time to face Barão [note: they would face each other in August, at UFC 177, but the Brazilian felt ill the day before the fight and did not fight]. I don’t think he deserves to fight for the title, but maybe he’s the only one available,” he opined.
