Rory MacDonald and Hector Lombard measure forces with an eye on title chances

The next challenger for the welterweight belt should be announced at UFC 186, an event that takes place on April 25, in Montreal, Canada. On the main card of the show, the Canadian Rory McDonald face the Cuban Hector Lombard. MacDonald, who has a record of 18 wins and two losses, is second in the welterweight rankings. The Canadian comes from three consecutive victories over Demian Maia, Tyron woodley e Tarec saffiedine. Rory's last defeat was precisely to the champion Robbie Lawler, in November 2013, in a split decision by the judges.

In turn, Lombard, who has a professional record of 34 wins and four losses, is undefeated since moving down the welterweight division. In his career in the up to 77kg category. he defeated Nate Marquardt, Jake Shields and Josh Burkman. Hector is currently ranked fifth in the welterweight rankings.
