Coming from victory over Kendall grove in the middleweight division, the Brazilian was scheduled to face Jon fitch at UFC-106, but a knee injury will prevent the Brazilian from performing at the event that takes place on November 21, in Las Vegas, in the United States.
Jon Fitch himself announced the postponement of the fight via his Facebook page:
“My fight on November 21st is postponed, Almeida 'blown out' his knee.”, said the fighter.
With the postponement of the fight, the fight between Phil Baroni and Amir Sadollah, which was part of the preliminary card, is now part of the main card of the event.
