In August last year, when they came face to face for the first time, Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier starred in one of the most talked about fights in MMA in 2014. Recently, Cormier had already said that did not rule out a repeat of the confusion at the MGM Grand in the week before UFC 182, when the two face each other in the octagon, next Saturday (03). Now, it was Jones' turn, who assured that his nerves were on edge, to leave the possibility of a new disagreement with his rival in the air.

“I haven't met with Cormier yet. I saw him when we were going to do some interviews, I passed him in the room, but we didn't get close to each other. I don't know what it will be like (when we meet). I'm sure my emotions will be on display, his too. I'm feeling like an 'alpha male' (leader), so you never know what might happen. Maybe I'll headbutt him again. You never know,” said the light heavyweight champion during a chat with the press this Wednesday (31).

Despite admitting that the atmosphere can heat up in the events leading up to the fight, Jones assured that he knows how to separate things and that emotions will remain outside the octagon. “Leaving emotions outside the cage is something I am capable of doing. Many fighters do this. I never fight in anger, I never have any expression when I fight, and I'm proud of that. I think you have to block that out as much as you can. I’ve always done it and I’ll do it again on Saturday,” he assured.

This Saturday (03), after months of expectation and animosity, Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier They will finally settle their scores inside the octagon. The rivals duel for the light heavyweight belt in the main fight of UFC 180, at the MGM Grand Garden, in Las Vegas (USA). In the evening's co-main event, Donald Cerrone seeks his sixth consecutive victory against undefeated prospect Myles Jury.
