Whoever imagined that the new year would also represent new life for the UFC, the early hours of January 1, 2015 brought news that seems to be taken from the fateful 2014. The Belgian Tarec saffiedine suffered an injury and ended up being cut from UFC Fight Night 60, an event in which he would face Matt Brown in the main fight of the night.

The information was released by the North American website “MMA Junkie”. According to the publication, sources linked to the Ultimate organization confirmed that the former champion of the now defunct Strikeforce suffered a groin injury during his training and was therefore unable to perform. So far, no replacement has been appointed for the vacancy left by Saffiedine.
UFC Fight Night 60 takes place on February 14th, at the “1stBank Center”, in Broomfield, in the state of Colorado (USA). So far, two Brazilians are scheduled for fight night: Thiago tavares, which faces Nik lentz, and Rodrigo Monstro, who faces Effrain Escudero.
