Lyoto Machida knockout could leave CB Dollaway up to six months away

To be released sooner, the North American must present an x-ray of his right rib, the place hit by the Brazilian's kick

The quick knockout defeat against Lyoto Machida at UFC Barueri, last Saturday (20), it could cost CB Dollaway dearly. The setback, in addition to having slowed down the North American's intentions among the middleweights, interrupting a streak of two consecutive victories, could leave him an entire semester away from fighting, according to the list of medical suspensions for the event published by the Brazilian Athletics Commission. Approximately one minute into the fight, Dollaway suffered a hard kick from Machida in the rib area, which practically left him knocked out. The injury caused by the blow cost the North American a potential 180 days, although he could be released before this period if he presents a satisfactory x-ray of the area.
