It took just over a minute in the octagon for Lyoto Machida recovered from the defeat to Chris Weidman in the middleweight title fight in the middle of this year. The Brazilian's first blow was enough to pave the way for victory, the quickest of his career, in the main fight of UFC Barueri, in the early hours of this Sunday (21).

After studying his opponent in the initial moments, Lyoto landed a sharp left kick on Dollaway's body, who immediately struck. From then on, a few more punches were enough for the central referee to interrupt the fight, declaring the Brazilian winner by technical knockout.
After the fight, Lyoto highlighted that his focus remains on a new chance for the belt in the 84 kg category. “I'm waiting for who the boss Dana White is going to put me against next, because my goal is the belt,” said the fighter, still in the Octagon.
Now, at 36 years old, Lyoto Machida He has a professional record of 22 victories, nine of them by knockout or technical knockout as in Barueri, and only five defeats.
