Charles of the Bronx had a practically impeccable year in 2014. For the first time since arriving in the UFC, the Brazilian ended a year with 100% success, achieving three victories in the three fights he had inside the octagon.

Such performance was duly recognized in the UFC, as the athlete became part of the top 10 of the featherweight division following his victory over Jeremy Stephens, last Friday (12). “I'm really happy, I ended the year with three wins. Login to top 10 It served to crown a very good year for me. I just have to thank everyone who was by my side. I'm going to focus, work even harder to have an even better next year,” said Do Bronx, who also beat Andy Ogle and Hatsu Hioki this year.

Taking advantage of the good phase, Charles hopes to take an even bigger step next year. “For 2015, I asked the UFC a lot to fight in Brazil, close to my home. It doesn't matter who against, but I want the best in the category. I want to pack even more and get to the belt. I'm in the top ten and now it's time to dream bigger. I want to be world champion,” he commented.

However, the year also served to show the Brazilian some flaws in his preparation – such as the episode before his fight against Stephens, when he did not reach the featherweight division's weight limit. “I want to apologize to all my fans and the UFC for what happened at the weigh-in. I do not know what happened. I guarantee I'll get better at this, because it's unsportsmanlike. I was sad for Jeremy, who trained the same and made weight, and I didn't. This will no longer happen”, he assured.
