The former champion returned. One year and two months after his last fight, junior gypsy is back in the UFC in the main fight of this Saturday's event (13), in Phoenix, United States, when he faces the North American of Croatian descent Stipe Miocic.

The year 2014 has not been easy for Cigano. The Brazilian was scheduled to face the same Miocic in May, in São Paulo (SP), but had to leave the fight after fracturing his hand. Thus, the former champion is looking for his first victory since May 2013, when he knocked out Mark Hunt at UFC 160.
This is also a golden opportunity for Miocic. Fourth placed in the heavyweight rankings and coming off three consecutive victories, the fighter believes that a victory over Cigano could put him on the route to the belt.
UFC on FOX 13 will also feature two Brazilians who are eyeing title fights. Rafael dos Anjos faces Nate diaz aiming for the lightweight belt, while Claudia Gadelha hopes to fight for the strawweight title if he wins Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Former heavyweight title challenger, Gabriel Napao is also a guaranteed presence at the event – he faces Matt Mitrone.
