Former UFC heavyweight champion, junior gypsy currently occupies the second position in the ranking of its category, and, in its next fight, it will face Stipe Miocic, fourth place. It wouldn't be absurd to imagine that the Brazilian is close to fighting for the belt if he wins, but that's not what's going on in the fighter's mind.

In a chat with internet users this Thursday (11), Cigano stated that his focus is entirely on the fight against Miocic. “I'm not thinking about the belt right now – I have a very tough opponent in front of me, which is Miocic, and first of all my intention is to get past him. Then we’ll see what happens,” he said.

Cigano, who was due to face the same Miocic in May but was injured, hopes to be able to put the problematic year of 2014 behind him with a victory. “2014 was a very difficult year for me. A lot of things happened that weren't good and it was difficult. But I want to forget and the year is behind me, in fact, and I want to end it in the best way for my side.”

And the fighter already has a goal in mind for 2015: “Yes, I want to fight in Brazil. In 2015 it would be great to be able to feel this energy. Every time I watch a fight in Brazil, as it was the last one in José Aldo, the energy is incredible. I want to have that feeling too. Now, Rio de Janeiro or Salvador? We've already had several in Rio de Janeiro, so it would be great to have one [UFC] in Salvador. And I would be very happy to be fighting there,” he opined.

the fight between junior gypsy e Stipe Miocic will be the main attraction of UFC on FOX 13, this Saturday (13), in Phoenix, in the North American state of Arizona.
