Since arriving at the UFC surrounded by expectations, alistair overeem did not yield what was expected. The Dutchman suffered three defeats in five fights in the octagon and is going through a delicate phase, which he hopes to begin to leave behind next Saturday (13), when he faces Stefan struve at UFC on FOX 13.

Overeem believes that the bad moment will not hinder him in the fight against his compatriot and, therefore, is planning a devastating performance. “I can't wait for fight day. I am one striker and I like knocking people out. I want to knock him out in the first 30 seconds. I'm a bad guy and that's what's going to happen in the fight”, said Overeem, in the official program as a preview of the event.

“I know myself, I've had bad moments before, but I managed to overcome them. There will always be people to criticize you – they have that right, but it's my right not to give a shit about it,” continued the Dutchman.

Overeem had five fights in the UFC, winning Brock Lesnar e Frank mir and lost to Antonio Pezão, Travis Browne and Ben Rothwell. Struve will have his first fight since 2013, when his jaw was broken by Mark Hunt. Since then, he was diagnosed with a heart problem and had to stay away for treatment, and also withdrew at the last minute from a fight against Matt Mitrione after suffering a panic attack in the locker room.
