If in the past the biography of a personality was only released after his death, nowadays many of them reach the shelves even before his retirement. This is the case of the UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. At just 27 years old, less than five of them dedicated to professional MMA, the octagon muse will have her life story told in a book, which will be released in May 2015.

The biography, titled “My Fight/Your Fight” (“My fight/Your fight”, in free translation), was written in partnership with the fighter’s sister, sports journalist Maria Burns Ortiz. The work will tell Ronda's journey from childhood to the Olympic bronze medal in judo, won at the 2008 Beijing Games, and the UFC belt.

In a statement released to the press, and reproduced by the “Bloody Elbow” website, Ronda spoke about the experience of telling her own story. “Everyone has their own struggle. During my journey to become the greatest fighter in the octagon I learned the concepts to win every battle outside of it. Fortunately, readers can learn the same lessons I did, without having to take so many punches in the face,” said the fighter.

In 2015, months before the official release of her book, Ronda, who won all ten of her fights in professional MMA, was able to write another great chapter in her history as a champion. On February 28, in Los Angeles (USA), the blonde puts her belt on the line once again in the co-main fight of UFC 183. Her opponent will be the undefeated challenger Zingano cat.
