John hendricks avoided criticizing the judges after losing the UFC welterweight title last Saturday (6), when he was defeated by Robbie Lawler by split decision. The former champion was not satisfied with his performance, but stated that he will use Lawler's example as inspiration to turn things around and regain the belt.

That's because Lawler was defeated by Hendricks himself in March of this year. Afterwards, he won two more fights until he won the right to fight for the belt again. “I thought I did well in the first three rounds, but then I slowed down. I don't want to belittle Robbie, he fought a tough fight. The judges gave him the win, so what can I do? I have to do what he didn’t do: I’m going to come back and win the belt”, said the fighter, at a press conference.
Hendricks made a point of praising Lawler for the fight, but praised that his performance left something to be desired. “I was doing well, but he's a tough guy. I threw several blows, but I didn't achieve victory. I don't need others to say I had a shitty performance. It’s my job to do it myself,” he explained.
