Fighter arrested for attacking police officers in the United States is dismissed from Bellator

Bellator has decided to remove light heavyweight Joe Vedepo from its roster, who was arrested last week accused of attacking police officers while drunk in Iowa City, in the US state of Iowa.

Vedepo's current contract was for one fight with an extension option from the organization, but, due to the confusion, the athlete ended up not having his contract renewed.

“The Doctor”, as he is known, was coming from defeat against King mo at the event held on November 15th. In total, his record in the organization was four wins and three defeats. He also had a short stint in the UFC, between 2008 and 2009, losing to Alessio Sakara and Rob Kimmons.
