Thiago Tavares rematches Nik Lentz in February

In January 2010, Thiago tavares tied with Nik lentz in a fight in which he had a point deducted due to an illegal strike. Now, five years later, the Brazilian will have the chance to clean up that result. That's because the Ultimate organization announced that Tavares and Lentz will face each other on February 14, at UFC Fight Night 60.

The result of the first duel between Tavares and Lentz was a majority draw, with two judges scoring equality and one giving victory to the North American. However, the Brazilian would have won if he hadn't had a point deducted after a kick to his opponent's genital region. Since this fight, when they competed in the lightweight division, the pair have moved down a category and are now rematching in the featherweight division.

At 30, Thiago tavares has a professional record of 19 wins, five losses and one draw. The Santa Catarina native comes from two consecutive victories, over Justin Salas and Robbie Peralta.
