Canceled less than 24 hours before it took place on November 8th in Uberlândia (MG), the fight between John Lineker and Ian McCall already has a new date to take place. The Ultimate organization announced that the rescheduling of the duel between the flyweights for January 31, 2015, at UFC 183, the same card as the return of Anderson Silva to the octagon.
After both fighters made weight for the co-main fight of UFC Uberlândia, Ian McCall felt unwell in the early hours due to a viral infection and ended up being cut from the event. At 30 years old, McCall is third in the flyweight rankings and has a record of 13 wins, four losses and one draw. Lineker, 24 years old, has a record of 24 wins and seven losses. The Brazilian is currently seventh in the official list.
UFC 183 takes place on January 31st, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, the former middleweight champion Anderson Silva returns to the octagon one year and one month after the fracture suffered in his left leg during the rematch against Chris Weidman. Spider's opponent in his return to the ring is the controversial American Nick.
