UFC bantamweight champion since May, TJ Dillashaw recently expressed his desire to face the holder of the top division belt, José Aldo. For Urijah faber, Dillashaw's training partner on Team Alpha Male, the North American is capable of overcoming the Brazilian.

Faber uses as a parameter the former bantamweight champion, Renan Barao, who was dominated by Dillashaw and is Aldo's training partner at the Nova União academy. For Faber, Dillashaw's only disadvantage would be in terms of size, which he would compensate for with speed.
“Part of the reason TJ is so good is he really believes in himself. He is an incredible athlete. So, we would have to ask Barão how he performs against Aldo. I imagine that they are training partners and that there isn't a big advantage on either side. I think TJ has a great, great style for José Aldo. He likes to kick a lot and has good wrestling. Size might be the only downside, but TJ would be quick. I would never rule out TJ, for sure”, said Faber, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.
At 28 years old, Dillashaw has only defended his belt once, when he beat Joe Soto in August. In his professional MMA career, the American has 11 wins and two losses. Aldo, in turn, has been UFC champion since 2011, when the featherweight category was created in the UFC. He has 25 wins – including one against Faber – and one loss in MMA.
