The main fight of UFC Fight Night 57, this Saturday (22), could define the next challenger for the featherweight belt, held by the Brazilian José Aldo. Despite the inaccuracy in the information released by the organization, Cub swanson guarantee guarantees that he will challenge Aldo if he impersonates Frankie Edgar in Austin (USA). But before stepping into the octagon, the pair had another important commitment this Friday (21), when they passed the scales at the event's official weigh-in.
Former challenger José Aldo in the now defunct WEC, when he was defeated in just seven seconds with a spectacular flying knee, Cub swanson was the first to appear on the scale. The Jackson's MMA athlete, who has an impressive six consecutive victories, weighed 66,1 kg, using the pound tolerance allowed in fights not valid for the belt.
Soon after, it was time to Frankie Edgar step up the scale. The former lightweight champion, who was also defeated by Aldo, in a five-round fight in the UFC, reached the 65,8 kg limit of the featherweight category and confirmed the duel against Swanson. At the time of the traditional face-to-face, the two remained serious and with their eyes fixed, but they greeted each other in a friendly way after posing for the cameras.

Protagonists of the main fight of the night, Edson Barboza e Bobby Green they seem to have definitely realized the importance of this Saturday's fight (22). After making weight with ease and good humor, the two adopted a more serious posture and were responsible for the most tense look of the night. With their eyes fixed and their noses almost glued together, they did not react to the signal from the matchmakers Joe Silva and continued staring at each other for a while longer. On the scale, Edson, the only Brazilian at the event, weighed 70,3 kg, just 100 g less than Green, who weighed 70,4 kg.

One of the most curious moments at this Friday's weigh-in in Austin was the look on the veteran's face Yves Edwards against Arreola Akbahr. On the scale, the athletes weighed 70,1 kg and 70,7 kg, respectively. When posing for photographs, however, Edwards innovated and presented himself with a snack, some pretzels (bread of German origin) in a plastic container. Not satisfied with just eating in front of his opponent, the veteran offered some of the snacks to Akbahr, who was quite pleased with the gesture and responded with smiles and hugs to his opponent.

In the second fight on the preliminary card, representatives of the new strawweight category Pagie VanZant and Kailin Curran had no problem making weight in their Octagon debut. The pair weighed 51,9 kg and 52,5 kg, respectively, and confirmed the duel in Austin. Soon after, VanZant and Curran had the most beautiful face-off of the night.
