Over the past few years, many MMA fans have lost nights of sleep imagining a hypothetical encounter between Anderson Silva e Jon Jones. The duel never took place in the Octagon, and is unlikely to take place in the future, but that does not mean that the two athletes have never faced each other. Taking advantage of the duo's presence in Las Vegas (USA) for a press conference, UFC president Dana White promoted a training session between Jones and Anderson at the organization's headquarters and recorded the historic moment on social media.

“The super fight between Jon Jones e Anderson Silva happened last night here at UFC headquarters. Did not have pay-per-view. No tickets sold. Rocky (Balboa) x Apollo (Creed)”, published the director, making reference to the final duel in the film Rocky, on his official profile on Instagram.
