After knocking out Mark Hunt in the main fight of UFC 180 this Saturday night (15) and win the interim heavyweight title, Fabricio Werdum gained yet another reason to celebrate. For his performance and the precise knee that sealed the victory, the Brazilian won the “Performance of the Night” bonus and took home, in addition to the belt, US$50 (around R$130, at current prices).

In addition to the Brazilian, the North American Kelvin Gastelum, which finished the compatriot Jake ellenberger In the first round of the co-main fight of the night, the other athlete was awarded for his performance. Like Werdum, Gastelum also took home the sum of US$50.
A check for the same amount paid to Werdum and Gastelum was also delivered to Mexican Henry Briones and Argentine Guido cannetti, who had the second fight on the preliminary card. For the two-round battle, won by Briones via submission in the second round, the pair were awarded the “Fight of the Night” bonus.
