MMA fans may have been surprised the announcement of the fight between Miesha Tate e Sara McMann for UFC 183 in January. After all, Tate had publicly asked for a fight against Beth Pitbull, and the Brazilian responded immediately by accepting the challenge.

However, the explanation came shortly afterwards: Bethe told the North American website “MMA Fighting” that she is injured and will have to stay away from activity for a while, and, therefore, was unable to confirm the fight against the North American.

“I was offered the fight against Miesha three times. The first date was in December, then in January and February, but I couldn't accept it because I'm injured. I tried to convince my doctor to let me fight, but he said I can't come back before March. I can fight King Kong in March, but I can't fight before then”, explained the Brazilian, who preferred not to detail the injury, despite stating that it is not something serious.

Pitbull, undefeated in MMA with nine wins in nine fights, guaranteed that, as soon as he returns to action, he will win the title of his category, currently in the hands of Ronda Rousey. “I promised my fans that I would bring the title to Brazil. I'll knock out any of the top 5 in the first round. That’s a promise,” she concluded.
