Bitetti Combat: Maldonado responds to Vitor Miranda

In the United States, where he helps with the preparation of Rodrigo Minotauro for the fight against Randy Couture, Fabio Maldonado saw the statements of Vitor miranda, his opponent in Bitetti Combat. Maldonado contacted the event organizers and asked to also comment on the challenge.

“I saw what he said and I agree with a lot of things. I believe that he really is better today, after all, he is at André Pederneiras' school. I promise the public a good fight and I promise that I will also keep the fight standing the entire time. Only if he grabs me, with that knee-jerk thing, then I try to put him down. But, other than that, the fight will be striking”, he adds.

The fight will be a rematch, as Maldonado beat Miranda at the first opportunity. Regarding his opponent's comments about the first fight, Fabio also believes that now it will be a much better fight.

PUBLICITY:

“I think he’s a very tough opponent. In the other fight I wasn't in my day and I know he wasn't in his either. This time I'm not injured and I think we'll do a much better performance. I've also evolved a lot since 2007 and I'm sure it will be a very good fight. The other time I was injured and I fought on the strategy, just to make sure,” he says.

Boxer preparation is done in the United States. Maldonado guarantees that he is even sharper for Bitetti Combat.

PUBLICITY:

“I have been in the United States since the fight against Anderson Silva and I train here together with Minotauro and all the staff. Dórea trained me on my feet and I hadn't taken boxing classes for about five years. When I faced Vitor the first time I was just for experience and now my striking is sharper. I also improved my ground game, even more so by training here with Amaury Bitetti and Ramon Lemos. But my strength will be standing. Let’s exchange”, he concludes
