The war between Wanderlei Silva and the UFC gained another curious chapter this Monday (10). The Brazilian, recently retired from MMA, had his presence announced at the preparation party for Bellator 131, this Friday, in San Diego, California (USA).
Bellator, managed by Scott Coker, is the UFC's biggest competitor in international MMA, and Dana White, president of the largest organization on the planet, has already made several public criticisms of his rivals.
Wanderlei will join Royce gracie, Randy Couture and Frank Shamrock, other names that made history in the UFC. The party will be held right after the official weigh-ins.
“After seeing the incredible audience response to the Bellator Fan Fest a few weeks ago, we wanted to once again give fans the chance to be part of something special and spend time with fighters who built the sport we love,” explained Coker.
The main fight of Bellator 131 will feature two other notable UFC names: the former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz faces the runner-up of TUF 1, Stephan bonnar.
