This is not the first time that José Aldo provides articles about his struggles for social actions. In 2010, when he was still champion in the extinct WEC event, later incorporated by the UFC, Aldo, in partnership with teammate Gustavo Dantas, auctioned off the pair of gloves used in the victory over Urijah faber and raised more than US$ 1200 (around R$ 3 thousand, at current prices) for the Nova União Community Program, which takes jiu jitsu to needy children in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
