A tragic car accident recorded this Sunday (09) in Georgia, a country located in Eastern Europe, took the life of heavyweight Guram Gugenishvili, former heavyweight champion of the Russian M-1 Global event – ​​linked to the legendary Fedor Emelianenko. Guram was just 28 years old.

After the news of the death of the division's prospect up to 120 kg, the M-1 Global organization released a note on its official social media profiles regretting what happened. “He was a great athlete and a kind, open-hearted person. Rest in peace Guram”, says an excerpt from the statement.

Guram Gugenishvili has won 12 victories and suffered just two defeats as a professional. In his last fight, held in April this year, Guram returned after a long period of inactivity due to a series of injuries and beat the American Tony Bonello.
