Seeking rehabilitation in the UFC, black belt Gabriel “Napão” faces Chris Tuchscherer at UFC-102, an event that takes place this Saturday, in Portland. The Brazilian revealed that he was part of his preparation together with Randy Couture, the opponent who defeated him in the heavyweight title fight at UFC-74 and faces the Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro at the same event. Napão, speaking to the American magazine Fight Magazine, praised the “Captain of America” and stated that he was in the best phase of his career.
“Randy (Couture) is a great guy and will help against my next opponent… He has a great story and deserves respect, but I think I'm in the best shape of my life. I'm very focused and I want to become a challenger again. I believe in my abilities and I will be 100% for this fight”, said Napão.
