Penultimate victim of Vitor belfort in the middleweight division, Michael Bisping became one of the biggest critics of the Brazilian fighter due to his use of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), a treatment that the “Phenomenon” used until the beginning of the year. And, with Belfort having been forced to give up practice, the Englishman believes there will be consequences for his rival's performance inside the Octagon.

“Vitor will be weaker and slower”, said Bisping, in a press conference call. “Vitor is the next challenger for the belt. What do I think about this? It's a big advantage for Chris Weidman, simply because Vitor was on TRT for a long time, and this has an impact on your body and the amount of muscle you have”, he continued.

According to the Englishman, Belfort will be even more harmed if the fight takes even longer to happen. The duel, valid for the UFC middleweight title, is scheduled for February 28th. “The longer you go without this testosterone prescribed by your doctor, the more changes will happen in your body. I think the more time passes until this fight happens, the greater the benefit of Chris Weidman", said.
